Positioning synthesis without borrowed certainty

fitsy helps teams convert qualitative patterns into claims sales can defend when buyers compare categories that include QuickBooks.

The claim filter

Every positioning sentence must pass three tests: (1) at least two independent interview moments support it, (2) a skeptical champion can repeat it without blushing, (3) it does not require a fake percentage. If your draft says “companies save 40% after switching,” delete it. Replace with the mechanism buyers actually narrate — fewer reconciliation surprises, clearer accountant handoffs, calmer month-end.

Build claims atop friction patterns and language harvested through interviews. When buyers invoke QuickBooks as the familiar yardstick, your differentiation must explain contrast without insulting that familiarity.

Workshop sequence

  1. Lay pattern cards from qualitative synthesis.
  2. Draft five candidate claims in buyer vocabulary.
  3. Stress-test each with a peer who missed the interviews.
  4. Map surviving claims onto touchpoints where they should appear.
  5. Retire claims that only work in a slide title.
